PHOTOGRAPHY
For businesses, that means cohesive, credible imagery that strengthens perception and supports growth.
For individuals and families, it means portraits that feel like you:
grounded, honest, and worth keeping for decades.
With a background in professional kitchens and brand marketing, Kuvia approaches every project with an understanding of how images function in service, in business, and in life. The result is photography that feels honest, substantial, and built to last.

Today's guest experience starts on a screen.
Guests search Google.
They scroll Instagram.
They check your menu.
In seconds, they decide what kind of place you are.
You’ve invested in the food, the space, and the team. Serious food and beverage photography ensures that care is visible from the very first impression.
It doesn’t replace hospitality.
It broadcasts and amplifies it.

How it works
Every restaurant is different. Projects are scoped around your menu, space, team, and how you actually operate day to day.
The process typically starts with:
– A short planning call to define goals and scope
– A focused on-site session built around real service conditions
– A mix of hero food images, environmental documentation, and team portraits
– Professionally edited, high-resolution files delivered via online gallery
– Full commercial usage rights
Sessions range from targeted menu updates to full brand documentation and ongoing content support.
Next Steps
Start with a conversation. We’ll outline your needs, timeline, and intended use, then build a clear proposal around it.

portraits & lifestyle
Portrait sessions are designed to mark a season — senior year, a growing family, commitment, a milestone that deserves to be remembered well. The goal isn’t perfection. It’s photographs that feel honest, lasting, and alive.
There's no need for prior modeling experience and no fussy posing. You’ll be guided the entire time — where to stand, how to move, when to pause — sessions feels natural and relaxed.
Often, the best images happen in the in-between moments.

ABOUT
Meet Matti Sprague
Kuvia is the work of Minneapolis–St. Paul photographer Matti Sprague. Specializing in commercial work with independent restaurants, chefs, and hospitality teams, as well as portraiture for families, couples, seniors, and individuals.
A lifelong creative, Matti spent years working as a chef, working in award-winning kitchens shaped by repetition, pressure, and care. What stayed with him was simple: discipline creates freedom. Shoots begin with listening and preparation, creating the trust and clarity that allow the work to unfold smoothly—and deliver results clients can depend on.
Whether he’s shooting a styled dish, capturing the energy of a dining room in service, or making portraits intended to last, the approach stays the same: careful preparation paired with a steady, intuitive presence—resulting in imagery that feels honest and alive.
When he’s not working, Matti is usually at home with his wife, Kelly, and their kids, chasing Great Lakes steelhead, or making a mess in the kitchen—often all within the same weekend.
